Job Description:

Job Summary: Assist with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, day-to-day department flow, and Prepared Foods displays. Ensure smooth operation of the Prepared Foods Team and provide courteous service to customers and Team Members. Perform duties in accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
  
• Train Team Members to build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  
• Maintain clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated shelves and cases.
  
• Ensure all necessary breaks are given and communicate team concerns.
  
• Set and achieve high standards of retail execution.
  
• Foster a positive work environment and maintain awareness of customer needs.
  
• Select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
  
• Provide timely performance evaluations and consistently communicate WFM vision and goals.
  
  
  Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
    
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
    
  • Product knowledge and proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
    
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
    
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance.
    
    
    Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
    
    • 
      
    • Lift 50 pounds.
      
    • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      
    • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      
    • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
      
    • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      
    • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions and use tools and equipment.
